You can get a id from V.A. hospital

    • Jen May 30, 2016 at 08:49 - Reply

Every veteran with an honorable discharge is eligible for V.A. benefits. Your copay (or not) is based on income or service connection . but regardless, you’ll be issued a photo ID that is accepted for discounts, where offered. Reach out to your nearest V.A., paperwork in hand or they’ll assist with acquiring your papers. Yes, people care and attitudes have evolved from when you first came home.

I am an 10 year veteran of the army. I fought on the front lines in 3 Iraq wars as a combat engineer. I have my veterans card and I have my old dress greens and blues.

I agree with Clark. I didn’t serve during Vietnam but I did serve in the Air Force. I have no I. D. card that says I am a veteran. I miss out on these benefits also. I signed up and served my country. I cannot a Veterans card because I wasn’t injuredoing due to being in the military. Just don’t feel it’s right some veterans get these benefits but others don’t. U.S.A.F. 8yrs of service.
